1. INTRODUCTION TO SPORTS NUTRITION
Learn how to develop a winning mindset, monitor and make changes that last, discover how to deal with cravings and what nutritional changes will have the biggest impact on your performance
2. BASICS OF SPORTS NUTRITION
Macronutrients and micronutrients to ensure you perform optimally during training and competition. How much, when and what to have.
3. FUEL FOR THE WORK REQUIRED
Fuelling before, during and after training nutrition to ensure you get the most out of each session.
4. NUTRITION PERIODISATION
Learn how to alter your nutritional intake on a daily and weekly basis to suit your training intensity, duration and goals and support sustainable weight loss without impacting power.
5. RACE DAY SPORTS NUTRITION
Build a race plan based on science to ensure you race in peak form - without fear underfuelling or gastro upsets. Learn about carb loading, training the gut and avoiding gut rot.
6. SUPPLEMENTS FOR CYCLING PERFORMANCE
Caffeine, creatine, beta-alanine... learn which supplements can help endurance or sprint cycling and the right dosages and timings.
Gemma is an Accredited Sports Dietitian and Sports Nutritionist from Australia. She has a Masters in Sports Nutrition and is currently undertaking a doctorate at Liverpool John Moores University.
She specialises in performance nutrition for cyclists.
She supports her athletes to optimise their body composition, recovery and training adaptations by fuelling optimally during training and competition.
